Boutique School Photography Parent Guide
Hi There!
I am so excited to be returning to photograph the children at Village Academy!
What IS THE BACKDROP?
These photos use a multi-colored “crayon squares” backdrop. We will also use a modern clear chair for some of the shots.
See above for sample photos and color scheme.
What should my child wear?
Any of the colors in the crayon squares drawings would work great!
Think about navy blue, light blue, dark green, orange, bright pink, and teal!
Simpler clothing patterns (solids/simple stripes) are a good choice.
For girls, small bows, headbands or barretts at the side of the head photograph better than large bows on top of the head.
When will my child be photographed?
Your school is scheduled for the following morning:

i have more than one child at the school. can they be photographed together?
For these fall sessions, we are only photographing children individually.
I HAVE A CHILD WHO DOES NOT ATTEND VILLAGE ACADEMY I’D ALSO LIKE PHOTOGRAPHED. CAN I BRING HIM OR HER FOR PHOTOS AS WELL?
These particular Back to School sessions are only offered to the children enrolled at Village Academy.
For spring photos, we’ll have signups for outside siblings!
When can I expect to see our photos?
Your child's proofs will arrive to your email via a private online gallery within 3 weeks of photo day. You will have 2-5 images in both color and black and white to select from.
PLEASE be sure the school has an accurate email address on file for you, as you will not receive a paper proof.
can i get a text message when my child’s photos are ready?
Yes! Be sure to register in advance with your child’s access code (this was emailed to you and was on the flier sent home from school.) Text that code to 90738, and you’ll receive a text when galleries are open!
How does ordering work?
After your receive your online gallery, you will have 7 days to place your order for the lowest prices and FREE SHIPPING. Everything is viewed, ordered, and paid online, so there are no paper order forms to keep up with.
You will have the option to purchase prints and digital images with printing rights.
Grandparents and other relatives may also place orders through the digital gallery!

I occasionally like to post a sneak peek on social media from my photo day at a particular school or add new kids' photos to my website and marketing materials.
